Hi, I am trying to work out the easiest way for my family and I to gain access to the park we have purchased a ticket and made a booking for. We have passes purchased for a previous visit (with a QR code), is linking these to our tickets a valid approach?

    Hiya Thomas!

It's so nice to hear from you again. Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is getting closer and closer every day so let's talk about your options for tapping into the magic at theme park entry.

Valid admission, a theme park reservation for each park day, and a method of entry (MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card) are currently required for theme park entry. It sounds like you've figured out your previous ticket Stitchuation and that each person in your party has valid admission linked to their own My Disney Experience account. Bravo! It also sounds like you've secured theme park reservations for each park day. Well done! Let's dig a little deeper into how methods of entry work.

MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile passes, and admission cards are linked to individual My Disney Experience accounts, not to individual tickets. This means the admission cards in your possession from a previous trip are already linked to all of the tickets in your My Disney Experience account, as long as the admission cards are still active. To see if your admission cards are still active, take a look at the MagicBands and Cards page of your My Disney Experience account. Click on your name and scroll until you find the admission card that matches the ID number on the back of your card. If that card is listed as "Active," it is ready to use and is automagically connected to all of the tickets linked to you in My Disney Experience. If that card is listed as "Inactive," click the "Activate" button and it's back in business! Kindly note you can only view and manage MagicBands and admission cards for individuals whose My Disney Experience account profiles are managed by you.

You can also view your admission cards in the My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the home page --> MagicBands and More), but you need to access your account online to Activate/Deactivate them. In addition to park entry, admission cards can be used to gain entry at Lightning Lane entrances.

I really appreciate the opportunity to talk Disney with you again, Thomas. As other trip-planning questions arise, you know where to find me!

    Happily ever after,
    Jennifer
