Greetings Sarah!
Disney dining is one of my favorite topics. They should really put it as a Jeopardy category so I could feel like a genius for at least a few minutes. Seriously though, I feel your excitement and worry as I've been there before.
A few years ago we were vacationing and my little ones were around 1 and 2-years-old. I had been craving the incredible pizza from
Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria for months and the only Advance Dining Reservation I was able to get was late. We slept in that morning, ate a late lunch, took late naps and did all I thought would prepare them for a late dinner, but they both fell asleep in the stroller just minutes before our meal. Luckily, when I spoke with the Cast Member at the front of the restaurant, they were able to let us bring the stroller in by our table so they could continue sleeping while the rest of us enjoyed dinner.
I would try to plan on an easier day, sleeping in, extra naps, a late lunch and the like to best prepare your little ones for the late
dinner at 'Ohana, as there is no guarantee that you'll be able to bring the stroller in with you. What I do know is that Disney does a great job of trying their best to make your time magical, so make sure you talk to the Cast Member when you arrive to find out your options should your child fall asleep before. It really depends on how busy the restaurant is and where they are able to seat you. I also recommend to keep checking and even call the day of to see if anything opens up a little earlier. I'm surprised how often someone else cancels their reservation and I'm able to change ours closer to our trip.
Have a magical visit, Sarah. Please let us know if there is anything else we are able to assist you with.
Pixie Dust,
Lauren
