Hi Bridget,
Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited to hEAR that you have booked a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort! And I am always glad to greet a fellow North Carolinian.
Well, this is an interesting dilemma. It sounds as if you are trying to update your
online check-in. If so, your reservation must be linked in
My Disney Experience. I would advise you to double-check your profile in My Disney Experience and make sure it is the same profile associated with the reservation. My husband had a My Disney Experience account that he had forgotten about, so I had to contact a Cast Member in Website Support to get help deactivating that account and making sure his reservations and tickets were linked to the profile I manage for him in My Disney Experience account.
If it does appear that the profiles are different, try to modify the reservation and select the correct profile. Log into My Disney Experience and go to My Plans. You should see your reservation. Next to that reservation, look for a link that says Change Reservation. If you cannot modify online,
contact a Cast Member by phone and someone will be able to assist you. As you try to update that reservation, do be sure that you have
Disney Park Pass system reservations for everyone in your party. Those park pass reservations should appear in your My Disney Experience account.
Having just returned from the Walt Disney World Resort, I will also strongly suggest that you have advanced dining reservations. If you have not made them already, try to see what you can make now. Although my family prefers
dining reservations for every meal, I do know that you may want to take advantage of
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. I trust you will find the right balance between making dining reservations and keeping some flexibility with meals. We came to value those dining reservations for the past few days because they gave us a chance to cool down in the air conditioning.
Bridget, be sure to check the
park hours prior to your visit and arrive early. We arrived about an hour early and waited for them to open the gates. Our early arrival paid off at Disney's Hollywood Studios because we were able to ride Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in 45 minutes. Good luck with your planning!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
