Hello, Leanna!
Uh oh! I’m sorry to learn you are having difficulty with purchasing theme park tickets to the Disneyland Resort. I’d be happy to share some tips for some common issues that other Guests have experienced in the past.
Disneyland Resort theme park tickets may be purchased
online or on the
Disneyland mobile app. In either case, start by selecting the ticket type, the number of days, the number of tickets, and whether you want to include the
Park Hopper option. The next step is to choose the dates of your visit. This is the step where you make
theme park reservations. For each day of park reservations, you will also pick your starting park for the day. You can also take a look at the
theme park reservation availability calendar to see what is available before purchasing. The final choice during the ticket purchase process is to decide if you wish to add the
Disney Genie+ service and pre-purchase a parking voucher. If you’re not sure about either of these choices, don’t worry, they can always be purchased after you arrive at the Disneyland Resort as well. During checkout, fill in the names of the ticket holders, contact information, and then submit payment information.
One of the most common issues we see at planDisney is online ticket purchases failing during the credit card purchase step. Here are some things that I recommend reviewing. Obviously, it’s important to verify that the credit card information entered is correct, including the expiration date and security code. Just as important is the contact information in your
Disney profile. In both the
account settings and the
payment methods, it’s important that billing addresses match with the address used by your credit card company.
Tony's Tip: To be honest, I prefer to avoid dealing with getting all the credit card details to match up correctly. So I bypass most of that hassle by using
Disney Gift Cards instead. When I don’t have time to wait for a physical card to arrive, I make sure to purchase a
Disney Gift Card eGift. And with an eGift, I can add the card to my mobile wallet for convenient contactless payments accepted at most Disneyland Resort locations. If a single gift card does not have enough funds for larger purchases, multiple gift cards may be combined on the
Disney Gift Card website. Up to $1000 may be stored on a single card.
For some of the trickiest ticket purchasing situations, it may be necessary to reach out to a Cast Member on the
Tickets phone line. You may also use the chat feature in the
Disneyland mobile app or the
Disneyland Resort website.
I hope that helps you get one step closer to The Happiest Place on Earth, Leanna. See ya real soon!
