Trying to think smart for our shorter than usual trip (2 weeks!) and I am debating a rental car. Hubby thinks the benefit of being dropped at the front gate will outweigh any time saved w/ rental car over the 30-60 minute bus system staying at AKL. Thanks!

    Hi Becky!

Since I am local to the area, we always have a car.  Having our own transportation is very important to us because we are in charge of our own schedule.  We can leave when we want, arrive when we want and no waiting for buses to arrive or waiting for the bus to make numerous stops before our destination.  Parking at Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Epcot is fast.  We have a double stroller and always walk to the gates from the parking lot.  The Magic Kingdom parking lot is a bit different in that you park, take a tram (or walk) to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then take a ferry boat or monorail to the park.

Several of my Moms Panel friends prefer to use all Disney transportation so they don't have to worry about driving.  It's all about personal preference.

    Have a magical day!
