I am trying to think ahead and save money to go on a trip to Disney next spring (2021). Is there a tool to plan out the costs? I can't look at room rates/ticket prices past January. I would like to estimate to know what I should save over coming months

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Rebecca! Thanks for stopping by with your question.

Rebecca, 2021 will be here before you know it and with the Walt Disney World Resort turning the big 5-0, it will be an epic year to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth. While the 2021 packages haven't been released yet, I have a few workarounds that might help out.

First, since you are just looking for an estimate, I would visit the Vacation Packages tab, click "Book Your Vacation Package" and put in as much information as possible with dates that are bookable. For example, if you're hoping to stay 5 nights at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort with a 4-day park ticket and the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, you can use different dates to get an estimate. I would also recommend trying this with two or three different sets of dates to give you a price range that could serve as a "start." If you are deciding between a few different Disney Resort Hotels, I recommend trying this with different options so you can get a general idea of price differences (keeping in mind that these are just estimates based on this year's pricing). This tip can also be applied to the different levels of the Disney Dining Plans. If you enjoy Table-Service restaurants like my family, that might be a benefit to you.

My other suggestion is to keep a close eye on the Disney Parks Blog where you will often see announcements when new packages are available for booking. Historically the next year's packages have been released in the summer.  When those are released, you'll be able to get exact pricing for the dates and itinerary you're hoping to book.

Rebecca, I hope this helps as you are looking ahead to spring 2021! Please come back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more vacation planning questions!
