I am trying to make Storyteller’s Cafe reservations for dinner as part of the World of Color dining package but when I select a 5p reservation it presents as Donald’s Adventure Character Buffet. How can I ensure I am reserving the regular dinner buffet?

Hey there, hi there, Abigail, and a warm welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're mapping out a dazzling evening at Disney California Adventure Park—what a wonderful choice!

You've asked a great question about booking the World of Color Dining Package hosted at Storytellers Cafe and seeing Donald's Tales of Adventure Dinner Buffet mentioned during the process. You're absolutely on the right track—that name you're seeing represents the dinner option at Storytellers Cafe in the World of Color Dining Package (because of the fun character dining included!).

That's right! For the first time, starting May 16th, 2025, Donald Duck and some of his most adventurous pals (like Daisy, Clarabelle, and Goofy) are bringing their playful meet-and-greets and fun escapades right into the dinner service at Storytellers Cafe. So, while you're savoring the delicious buffet offerings before the big show, you'll also get the chance to mingle and snap photos with these beloved characters. How quack-tastically exciting is that?! I'm personally thrilled Disneyland Resort is adding this character fun to the dinner experience there—which is extra exciting for me because Storytellers Cafe just happens to be my absolute favorite restaurant in the entire resort!

Now, Abigail, speaking of new experiences, it sounds like your visit might align perfectly with a truly historic event: the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration! Beginning next month, the entire resort is preparing to commemorate seven decades of magic-making. The parks will be decked out in celebratory décor, unique treats will tempt Guests around every corner, there will be lots of special commemorative merchandise to discover, and, best of all, there will be a jam-packed lineup of spectacular entertainment options!

One of the most anticipated highlights debuting for this incredible celebration is a spectacular new version of the show you're planning for: World of Color Happiness!. Get ready for a breathtaking pageant celebrating joy and the magic of Disneyland Resort through stunning water effects, vivid projections, brilliant lights, soaring music, and heartwarming moments from cherished Disney and Pixar stories lighting up Paradise Gardens Park! And here’s the most magical part for your planning: the World of Color Dining Package you are booking at Storytellers Cafe will provide you with vouchers for a reserved viewing area for this brand-new show!

So, the plan is simple, Abigail: you can enjoy your delightful dinner adventure with Donald Duck and friends at Storytellers Cafe, receive your voucher for the premium reserved viewing section, and later, head over to Paradise Gardens Park for an unforgettable experience with World of Color Happiness!

I hope this clears things up and sprinkles even more excitement into your upcoming visit, Abigail! It sounds like an absolutely wonderful and memorable evening awaits you. If any more questions pop up, please come back and visit us here at planDisney—we're always happy to help!

Wishing you a visit filled with happiness and lots of magic!
