I am trying to start planning a trip to Disney World for Jan 2026. Both my son and I are wheelchair users, and I am concerned about the recent changes to the DAS pass. What would be the best way to make sure our trip is as accessible as possible?

    Hi Moriah!

Welcome to planDisney!  I'm excited to hear that you and your son are starting to think about a visit to Walt Disney World Resort in January 2026.  While it will still be quite some time before dates for events and festivals are released for 2026, I'd encourage you to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements they share in the latter half of 2025.  We visited in January recently for the first time, and I really enjoyed the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.  Typically, this event begins mid-January, so it's something to keep in mind as you plan!

Moriah, Walt Disney World Resort recently updated the information on their website related to accessibility, and I think you'll find it easier than ever to get a sense of what accommodations may look like for your trip.  I recommend starting with the Accessibility Planning Guide and Recommendations, as it provides the most comprehensive look at the range of accommodations to meet a variety of needs.  There is also a full page on the website dedicated to Guests with mobility needs, which discusses things like accessing attraction queues, ECV and Wheelchair Rentals, and resort transportation accessibility.  If you aren't finding an answer to your specific question, you can always email a Cast Member with Disability Services for additional support.

I hope this helps to provide a bit more information as you start planning your future visit!  Please remember Moriah that you have a friend in me (and all of my pals!) here at planDisney if you have any other vacation planning questions in the future!

    Happy Planning!
