Royal Greetings, Susan!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by with your question. How exciting that you are planning ahead for your upcoming stay at a
Disney Vacation Club Resort. As a Member for the past 22 years, our family has loved the home-like amenities of both the Deluxe Studios and the Villas. It sure makes Disney travel easier!
Susan, there are a few DVC Resorts that have
Deluxe Studios with a queen-size pull-down bed (Murphy bed.) And, they vary in size. I asked Disney Vacation Club if they had the square footage for each of these Resorts, but unfortunately, they do not have this information available. My best guess is that they range - depending on the Resort - anywhere from 350 to 450 square feet. This is a "guestimation," based on my experience, so it is not an official size.
What I would recommend is to look at the Virtual Tours on the Disney Vacation Club website of the Deluxe Studios at the Resort(s) are you are considering. This will give you an idea of the layout of the room and its space.
Typically, in Disney Vacation Club Resorts, the rooms are not turned down nightly. We did this ourselves. Cast Members WILL come into your room once a day for a well-being check, and this is standard policy at all Disney Resorts. If your Do Not Disturb is on your room door, they will knock or call your room. Often, they will come in and remove the trash. Typically, the
DVC Housekeeping schedule is as follows: For stays of 7 nights or less, they will do a full "trash and towel" service on Day 4. For stays 8 days or longer, they will do a full cleaning on Day 4 and a "trash and towel" service on Day 8.
However, if you need a refresh of towels or sheets, or any additional supplies for your room, such as coffee and tea, you can make a request as often as you need on the
"Hey Disney" device in your room. It is the electronic device with the Mickey Ears. Just say "Hey Disney, show me what you can do," and it will walk you through its features. It is a handy tool for requesting room items, finding out the weather and hours of parks and parades, and you can even have it set to get a wake-up message from your favorite Mouse and friends.
I hope this helps you, Susan! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, stop back here to see me, and I'll be so happy to help you. After all, you've got a friend in me!
Magically Yours,
Keri
