Hey there, hi there, Paul! We appreciate you stopping by planDisney with your question and we are happy to help.
I'm glad you are aware of the new feature of the new option of a
pre-arrival live video chat to register for DAS. This can be done between 2 and 30 days in advance of a park visit. During this chat, you will be able to discuss with a Cast Member and book up to 2 one-hour return time windows for select experiences. I have included a link in the first sentence of this paragraph that should direct you to the webpage you are looking for that will outline the process, terms and conditions, and the clickable link to
request a live video chat. These two selections that you pre-book before your arrival are in addition to the return times you can request throughout the day of your actual visit.
As someone who has visited both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World multiple times throughout the past year, I just love Disneyland! I love that it's easy to go back and forth between each park and I love that you have to do to less planning in advance to enjoy your day. No matter how easy-going your day may be, our family always usually enjoys taking a nice break or two. Our favorite place to take a mid-afternoon break and refuel is at
Lamplight Lounge and I always prefer dining outside on the patio/deck areas. The food is great and our family enjoys overlooking Pixar Pier and seeing everyone launching into their race to find Jack-Jack on Incredicoaster. When your legs need a break at Disneyland Park, I love hopping on the
Disneyland Railroad to go around the park a time or two. Over at Disney California Adventure Park, we like to escape into the
Animation Academy building to draw your favorite character or just for some of the best air conditioning and space to sit and enjoy all the Disney movie songs.
Paul, I hope this helps and you are able to successfully get a pre-arrival video chat. Please come back and visit us again if you have any other questions. See you real soon!
Carrie
