Hi Fernando! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
What a magical time of the season to plan a visit to Disneyland Resort. Your family is going to have the best time. The
Holidays are the perfect time to experience the parks. I can't get enough of the festive décor, merchandise, entertainment, and yummy treats! I recommend checking out the festive overlays on some of the parks' attractions: my favorite is
Haunted Mansion Holiday. And don't forget to try the famous Mickey Gingerbread Cookies. Everyone lines up at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park, but my hint for you is to skip the crowds and pick yours up at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa in the lobby from the Grand Californian Great Hall Cart. You don't need an admission ticket to buy your cookies and holiday treats here and the lobby is a beautiful seasonal spectacle. Check the Disneyland mobile app for cart opening times so you're there a few minutes early since they do sell out.
While you can't yet book a theme park reservation, since we're not in the
120-day window for reservations opening for your date, you should be able to book your hotel stay at one of Disneyland Resorts' onsite
hotels. If you're experiencing some difficulty doing this online, please call a helpful Cast Member at the
Hotel Reservations phone line, who will be happy to assist you. One thing to note: reservations are not yet available for next year, so if your stay will extend into the new year you'll need to wait until later this summer to book.
If you're looking for a recommendation on hotels, we love staying at
Disneyland Hotel. We like its retro theming, location close to the Disneyland Monorail, which takes you right into Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park, and delicious dining choices like the iconic
Goofy's Kitchen Character Dining Experience and
Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill for a quick bite in the morning or a Dole Whip at the end of a long park day.
Speaking of dining, Disneyland Resort doesn't currently offer a dining plan. I'm sorry if that's not the news you were hoping for, but I know there are going to be lots of treats and drinks and restaurants you'll want to try. For all the foodie updates on what will be available during your stay, follow the
Disney Eats blog, and remember that your
Dining Reservation window opens 60 days before your trip! If there's a special place you'd like to dine, book as early as possible since they can fill up quickly at popular times of the year.
I hope this helps! Have a wonderful time.
Elizabeth
