I am trying to see what resort is better, Caribbean Beach or Coronado Springs. Any thoughts?

Choosing which is better is definitely dependent on when you are traveling and the members of your party.

Let me help you sort it out:

    Coronado Springs
It is beautiful but I found the resort to be quite vast.  While the Casitas, Ranchos and Cabanas buildings are set around a beautiful lake, there is not one building that is convenient to every thing.

A nice moderate resort with many amenities. Food court has many options. Pool is well-themed with nearby Pool Bar which also serves food. Playground, restrooms and changing rooms are convenient to the pool.

Very large resort makes for long walks to food court ,etc. unless you pay for a premium room. Convention center brings in lots of business people so that it sometimes detracts from the “vacation” feel with guests walking around in business attire. Night Club on property draws in a younger “party” type crowd.

    Caribbean Beach
This resort is beautiful. I would not choose this resort until the Port Royale main pool is done with renovation (scheduled to re-open in September). Once completed, it’ll be a fantastic place for families to swim and play. Caribbean Beach has sandy beaches and playgrounds for the kids. Rooms are a good size and the quaintness of the buildings, courtyards and paths detracts from the vastness of the resort.

Personally, I see Coronado Springs as a more adult-oriented resort. It would also be nice for families with older children. Caribbean Beach Resort feels more family-friendly, especially for younger children who like to dig in the sand and eat their meals out of sand pails. Yes the kid meals are served in these playful buckets!
