Trying to reserve a ticket online but the dates we want is no longer available. could we buy the tickets on the same day at the park or is it by reservation only?

    Hello, Alexander!

Ooh, this is a sticky situation, isn’t it? Let me put on my thinking cap and sit in my “thotful spot” a bit.

As you have guessed, theme park reservations are required for all Guests of the Disneyland Resort theme parks. So whether purchased online or in-person, theme park tickets must still be linked with reservations from the same pool. I highly recommend online purchasing to save time waiting in line at ticket booths and to simplify the process of linking the ticket to your account and to a park reservation.

I’d like to share my best tips for booking a theme park reservation:

    1. Stay flexible. If you can visit at a later date or to a different starting park, you may have better luck finding a reservation that works, even if it’s not your first choice.
    2. Keep checking. Visit the theme park reservation availability calendar frequently to look for reservations that pop up once in a while from when other Guests need to cancel their reservations.
    3. Level up the magic. If you plan on staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels, you will have access to theme park reservations set aside exclusively for on-site hotel Guests.

I hope that gives some ideas for how you can make your visit to the Disneyland Resort a reality, Alexander. With a little bit of faith, trust, and pixie dust, I hope you’ll be able to make your dream come true.

    T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
