Hi. I am trying to make reservations some restaurants, but when I choose the restaurant, write the guest numbers, the Reservation ask my credit card number. I have already a Dining Plan and a Reservation Hotel number, Need I put my credit card? Tks

    Hi, Domingos!

Yes, you do need to enter your credit card number on certain reservations, but not to worry. You won't be charged anything unless your party does not show up at the reservation and does not cancel it. Should that happen, you'll be charged $10 per Guest on the reservation.

These credit card guarantees are applied to finer dining locations throughout Walt Disney World, which is why you see them when making a reservation online. Be sure to cancel any unneeded reservation at least 24 hours in advance and you won't see a charge on your credit card.

When you are at the restaurant, the credit card you used to guarantee your reservation will not be charged, either. You'll use your Dining Plan entitlements to cover the cost of eligible items (i.e. one entree, one dessert and one non-alcoholic beverage per person on the traditional Disney Dining Plan.) Additional costs, such as gratuity, wine and appetizers (in the case of the DDP) can then be charged to a cc, paid in cash or even charged to your room if you set up your Key to the World account for charging privileges.

Have a wonderful time planning those magical meals, Domingos, and enter that credit card number knowing that you are just guaranteeing that you'll be there at reservation time. Enjoy those meals! (YUM.)
