Hi Reyanne, and welcome to planDisney!
You are just a couple of weeks away from your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I’m so excited for you! Let’s get those plans in place so you can focus on Disney dreaming.
I think you are asking about
dining reservations, so let’s start there. I’m not sure if you mean you have a party of 7, or if you prefer a dinner reservation at 7:00, so I’ll walk through the steps to cover both possibilities.
When I look in the
My Disney Experience mobile app, I do see reservations available in Magic Kingdom Park on May 7, but note that availability is subject to change. Open the app, and tap the “+” in the bottom center. Then, tap “Dining Availability.” Select your party size; note that if you don’t have luck searching for a party of 7, you may need to make a reservation for a party of 4 and a party of 3. When you arrive at the restaurant, let the Cast Member at the host station know that you would love to be seated together if at all possible; they will do their best to accommodate, though it can’t be guaranteed.
Next, use the calendar feature to select your date. You may either select “Lunch” or “Dinner,” or be more specific about your time. I like to play around with this as it sometimes yields different results. If you’re flexible about which restaurant, it will help with your chances. Flexibility with time also helps a bunch; eating mid-afternoon and then snacking later that night is a good strategy. I don’t see Table Service dinner availability in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 6, but you could choose to eat at a Quick-Service location, such as the delicious
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo (I like the Batuuan Beef Pot Roast) in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge or
Woody’s Lunch Box (don't miss the Totchos and a Lunch Box Tart) in Toy Story Land. Be sure to
Mobile Order your meal in advance to avoid long waits during popular meal times if you go with this option.
Reyanne, because capacity is limited during the phased reopening, dining reservations have been tricker than usual. My advice is to keep checking and make a Quick-Service dining backup plan. If you have particular restaurants you’d like to visit, such as the Hollywood Brown Derby, you can search reservations from that restaurant’s webpage; I sometimes find that easier. Touring Plans also has a reservation finder tool that many Guests find helpful. This
Disney Parks Blog article walks through several options, like the Walk-Up List service in the My Disney Experience app, that might be helpful in your quest.
As Dory says, “just keep swimming” and you may find your reservation. Continue to check for availability at different times each day – you never know when another Guest is changing their plans and you might be in luck! I’m sending pixie-dusted wishes your way that your search is successful.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
