I am trying to make reservations for the Magic Kingdom fireworks for June 17, 2017 and the Star Wars desert party at Disney Studios for June 20 or 21, 2017. It says all are full. Do these have to be made by phone call? Thanks

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sheila! I’m glad you stopped by with your question.

It sounds like you are planning a really delicious and fun vacation to the Walt Disney World! Dessert Parties are a wonderful way to enjoy scrumptious treats and dazzling shows together. I love the convenience these offer, having that peace of mind you have a reserved spot to watch these incredible nighttime spectaculars plus the added fun of desserts. It’s a win-win in my book!

Sheila, usually, the availability that shows up online is the same as what the Cast Member have to book for these events when guests call the Disney Dining Line. It wouldn’t hurt to try, but chances are if it’s showing as sold out it might actually be. But, don’t dismay! Often, guests over book their Dining Reservations and as their dates get closer, they will let go of some. I have seen some hard to get reservations open up days before my arrival. So, if you call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 and the Cast Member confirms that these events are booked, don’t give up trying to book one as your dates get closer!

Be sure to mark your calendar with all the important dates for your planning. 180 days for Advanced Dining Reservations, 60 days for FastPass+ (if staying on property, 30 if staying offsite), and those days before arrival to check back on these special reservations.

I hope you have a magical day!
