I have been trying to get reservations for House of Blues but it always seems to be full on 8 Dec or 10 Dec. We have been having problems getting reservations with them for 2 yrs now. Has it become that popular? Advice?

    Hi Jeanette,

It seemed odd to me, too, that there were no reservations available at House of Blues for your December visit. My family enjoys eating there, too, but we've usually been able to drop in without a reservation. So I did a little investigating.

When it also showed me that there were no seats available through the Walt Disney World reservation system, I turned to the Open Table app. Occasionally, I've found availability there for non-Disney owned  restaurants at Disney Springs when none was available through the Disney website.

Open Table has a notation that House of Blues only accepts reservations 14 days in advance. That appears to apply to reservations made through Disney as well, so that explains your issue with making a reservation 180 days in advance.

If you are concerned about waiting that long to secure your desired date at House of Blues, I'd consider reserving a spot at a different Disney Springs venue for now. You can always cancel if and when House of Blues availability opens up two weeks away from your trip. You might want to consider Splitsville or Planet Hollywood Observatory as an alternative/back-up.

Please remember that you must cancel any unwanted reservations at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jeanette. I hope that's helpful. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Enjoy your winter vacation!
