If I am trying to make reservations for a group containing a 2 year old and I can only find one for 2 instead of 3 (that would include the 2 year old) can I still take my 2 year old or do I have to wait and hope to find a reservation for 3?

Hello Diane, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great planning question.

I am so happy to hear that you are making your advance dining reservations for your upcoming trip. This means that your magical trip is less than 6 months away. Let the magical vacation countdown begin. I am sorry to hear that you are not having any luck obtaining the reservation you really have your heart set on. When you are making your reservations, you will need to include your 2-year-old. Even though your prince or princess will share a plate with you, they need to be included in your count for seating purposes. This will help Cast Members with seating guests quickly if they know how much space each dining party will need.

Depending on how far away your trip is, a cancellation may open up allowing you to modify your reservation before you arrive. I would suggest keeping the reservation for 2 and checking with a Cast Member by phone in the hopes that something opens up. There are times that guests may have a change in their plans which can cause them to cancel a dining reservation. Also by speaking to a Cast Member, they may be able to search for a time that is close to the time you want that has more availability. You can call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. Good luck with your planning, and if you need any more help before you arrive, please come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
