Hello, I am trying to make a reservation for my son to build a lightsaber and it looks like there are no reservations available on 12/21/21. Is it possible to walk up and actually get in to build one? I can’t disappoint my son, please help.

    Bright Suns, Laura!

We take courage knowing that you have plans to soon visit Batuu with your son. I sense that he will be strong with the Force, but first, he must learn. As you have discovered, time with the Gatherers at Savi's Workshop is in high demand. I encourage you to stay persistent and continue searching for a reservation since walk-ins are only accepted on a limited basis. Remember to search for just a party of one since it sounds like you do not intend to build. You would be considered your son's Guest. If you are unable to secure a reservation, you are certainly welcome to ask about walk-up availability or to try to make a same-day reservation, but I would recommend that you have an alternative plan.

You could visit Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities and select a lightsaber there. You could also stop by Tatooine Traders to explore lightsaber options. The lightsaber build at Savi's Workshop is unique, but depending on the age of your son, he may be happy with an alternative.

While visiting Batuu, I do hope you plan to test your piloting skills on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and to confront the First Order on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. If you can, make a reservation at Oga's Cantina. We love to drop in here and catch up with other Resistance allies.

Laura, stay hopeful. Continue to plan. Book your transport to Batuu and make other dining reservations for your crew. Check several times a day for reservation availability up until and on the day of your visit.

May the Force be with you as you plan!
