I am trying to make reservation for the past month. Is everything completely booked for sit down restaurants at both parks? 520Familyvaca

Hey, Sonya! Welcome back to planDisney! We appreciate you stopping by again with another great question for us.

Oh boy! I'm sorry to hear that you have had some trouble finding dining reservations for your upcoming trip. I can't be sure of how many you have in your party, but I took a look at the dining reservations for the day you arrive and a few days following for a party of six. I do see some availability for a handful of restaurants throughout those days. You may have more luck trying to make a reservation by trying for a time that isn't as popular for mealtime. However, keep in mind it is over a holiday weekend, so that may be why you've had trouble.

If you can't find reservations for the location you are hoping for right now, I would try looking diligently in the days right before your arrival. New reservations often pop up last minute when Guests decide to cancel right before they arrive and rearrange their plans or cancel their trip. I have often gotten great reservations the day before my visit!

Once you are in the parks, you can always go to the dining location and ask a Cast Member if they are taking any walk-up reservations or if they have availability. It's not a guarantee, but sometimes they have some same-day availability. There is also the mobile walk-up list feature in the Disneyland app for participating locations. What you will do is search the dining location in the app or find it on the map, click on it to open the dining location's page, and then look for the mobile walk-up list information. You will then see if the list is open and can be joined, as well as the approximate wait time. If they are busy, it will say the walk-up list is at capacity, but check back later and it may open up again. If you want to join the list, you will need to be in the vicinity of that location to join.

The parks are also full of great quick-service locations! My family especially loves Pym Test Kitchen in Disney California Adventure and Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante in Disneyland Park.

Sonya, I hope this helps you figure out the best dining plans for your upcoming trip. One of my favorite things about Disneyland Resort is the food and snacks, so I'm sure you'll have a great time no matter where you end up stopping to refuel!
