Hello we have been trying to make a reservation to use our park hopper passes. The original date we wanted is no longer available. We have 4 tickets and 2 of our family are no longer able to go on the days. Do we need to put names on their tickets?

Hey there, Gloria! Welcome to planDisney. We are so happy to have you here!

I'm sorry to hear that you've had trouble getting the dates reserved that you were hoping for. The holiday season is one of the most popular times to visit The Happiest Place on Earth and reservations have been filling up. It's a bummer to also hear that some of your party can no longer make it now that you've had to adjust your dates. If you purchased these tickets recently your family should have plenty of time to use them in the future. You do not have to put names on their tickets, but if you do it's not an issue. Adding a name to a ticket when you link the ticket to your account is more for you to be able to keep the tickets straight. It doesn't permanently attach the ticket to anyone, so someone else could actually use that ticket if needed. A ticket is not assigned to someone until they use it for the first time and scan it at the park entrance. When it is scanned, a Cast Member will take a photo of you and that is what assigns a ticket to a person. If you have names attached to the tickets and someone else ends up using them, you can call or chat with Ticket Services and they can change the name for you.

If you are heading to Disneyland Resort, be sure to hop over to Disney California Adventure Park for Disney Festival of Holidays. I love trying all the different bites and snacks at the marketplaces throughout the park. Don't forget to finish off the night with World of Color - Season of Light, a special holiday version of my favorite nighttime spectacular.

Gloria, thanks again for stopping by! Please come back and see us again with your planning questions!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
