Trying to make a reservation for 2 at Diamond Horse, all they have are for 3 or more. can I make it for 3 then cancel the 3rd person later

Howdy, Partner! John, I'm glad you moseyed by planDisney to talk about one of my favorite places to rustle up some... oh, I can't say it. The food at the Diamond Horseshoe is too good to be called "grub," even with poetic license.

My family chooses this restaurant whenever we can because my youngest loves roasted turkey, and dining here is like the best of Thanksgiving (and someone else does the cooking and the dishes)!

If you can't get a reservation for two people, the smaller tables are likely all booked. Luckily, it seems, some tables that seat up to four are available. When I have been in the same situation, I have made a reservation for three Guests, and I keep checking as my vacation approaches to see if any tables for two become available. If so, it's easy enough to modify your reservation.

If not, no worries. When you check in, let the Cast Members know there are only two in your dining party, and they will do their best to accommodate you. You can also use Mobile Check-in on the My Disney Experience app and indicate the number of Guests. Disney's cancellation and modification policies typically charge for no-shows on a reservation, but I've not been penalized for reducing the number when one person in our group decided last-minute not to join us.

As I said, we are huge fans of the Diamond Horseshoe, and it may have a lot to do with the year we dined here on Thanksgiving Day or coming here for the show with my grandmother when I was a kid. So many magical memories! When it's not open or does not have availability, we head over to Liberty Tree Tavern. They both serve the tastiest turkey in the wilderness! Speaking of deliciousness, save room for the Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake. My kids always ask if I could make this at home. However, I know that even if I perfected the recipe, it would still not be the same.

John, if you are making dining reservations, your countdown is getting close. I hope you get all the dining of your dreams and your Walt Disney World trip is practically perfect in every way! If you have any other questions, know you've got a friend in planDisney!
