Hello, Victoria! Thanks for stopping by planDisney. I am happy to answer your question about
Blue Bayou dining reservations. It is a special place for celebrations, and I think it's fantastic that you want to have an anniversary meal there!
Victoria, you are correct,
advanced dining reservations generally open 60 days before a specific date. However, wth certain popular dining locations, reservations can fill up quickly - within minutes - so fast fingers are necessary to score those reservations. In researching your question, I tried several dates and times, and found several four-person Blue Bayou reservations on July 4. I'm not sure what size your party is, but if you aren't able to book a reservation right away, keep checking back as reservations can open up when other Guests change their plans!
If perseverance does not score a Blue Bayou dining reservation before your visit, I recommend getting to Disneyland Park early on the day of your visit. Head to Blue Bayou and inquire about joining the Walk-Up List for that day. Sometimes, there is also an option to join the Walk-Up List in the Disneyland Mobile App. Search for Blue Bayou, and on the restaurant's screen, there may be an option to "Join Walk-Up List". Be aware that the app sometimes requires you to be in proximity to the restaurant to join the list. In both of these instances, being at the theme park early is your best bet for getting a dining reservation. You may need to be flexible with your dining time when booking for the same day. Hopefully, these tips will help score that special dining location!
Be sure to grab a complimentary "I'm Celebrating" button from select merchandise locations or at Guest Relations in either theme park during your anniversary trip, Victoria. It's a special way to let others know you are celebrating! I also love utilizing
Disney PhotoPass photographers to grab pictures on special occasions. Get to the theme parks early to get the picture-perfect shot without a crowd!
Victoria, if you have any other planning questions before your visit, please visit me again. I would be happy to help.
See you in the parks,
Melissa
