Hi there, Rachel! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
You are correct that usually
dining reservations at the Disneyland Resort can be made up to 60 days in advance. Lately, though, it seems that reservations are being released later than that but not on any exact schedule or at a certain time. We aren't quite sure why this is, but we've been getting lots of questions here at planDisney from guests like you that are having trouble making dining reservations, especially at
Blue Bayou Restaurant. My only bit of advice is to keep checking the website and the Disneyland app to see if something pops up. You can also stop by Blue Bayou Restaurant during your visit to see if they have any availability for walk-ups that day. Sometimes they are able to squeeze people in.
Since your trip is next month, there is a good chance that the new
Disney Genie service will be available for your trip. Disney Genie is a complimentary feature in the Disneyland app that will create customized park-touring itineraries based on your interests. You'll also have the opportunity to purchase Disney Genie+ for $20 per day, per ticket. Disney Genie+ will allow you to select the next available return time for an attraction and then skip most of the wait by using the Lightning Lane. If you ever used Disney MaxPass in the past, Disney Genie+ will work quite similarly.
I hope you are able to secure a reservation at Blue Bayou Restaurant soon and that you have a deliciously delightful time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
