Hi Danielle!
The
Disney Dining Plan offers so much flexibility, which is one of the reasons why we always use it on our Walt Disney World vacations. There are so many options available for guests to use their entitlements on, there's surely something for everyone!
This is a great question and I wish I could give you a simple yes or no answer, however, it's more of a "mostly" kind of situation. I have used Snack Entitlements for most of side items at Quick-Service restaurants, but there has been a rare occasion that something I wanted wasn't eligible. For example, I have been able to get a side of eggs, breakfast potatoes, fries, fruit, green beans and macaroni and cheese as a Snack Entitlement on the plan. The potato leek soup at
Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom Park is one of my favorite items to use for a Snack Entitlement. It's delicious!
You'll notice that items eligible for Snack Entitlements range in price from $1 up to $9 or so. I like to get the most value out of the Disney Dining Plan, so my general rule is to only use a Snack Entitlement for selections that are over $5 and pay out of pocket for lower priced treats. A great use of a Snack Entitlement are the funnel cakes a la mode that are at the top of the price range. *Snack options on the Disney Dining Plan are subject to change.
A great way to investigate Snack Entitlement eligibility is to view the
mobile ordering option on the My Disney Experience mobile app. The section for sides will tell you which items qualify at that particular Quick-Service restaurant and give you a general idea of items you can expect to order throughout Walt Disney World.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
