Hiya, Daniel!
If you’re like me, you’re probably missing being able to stroll down
Buena Vista Street,
churro in hand, humming along to the classic soundtrack playing in the background. As we wait for the
reopening of the Disneyland Resort theme parks, it’s nice to know that
some options are made available for
Annual Passholders to help compensate for the downtime during the parks’ temporary closure.
Passholders on the monthly payment plan have had their payments automatically suspended, starting from March 14, 2020. The default option for Passholders on monthly payments is to have payments resume when the theme parks reopen, keeping the original expiration date of the Annual Passports. As an alternative, Passholders on a payment plan may request to have their Passport expiration dates delayed by the amount of time the parks will have been closed. Under this option, monthly payments will resume when the parks reopen and will continue through the newly-extended expiration date.
Passholders who have paid in full will automatically have their Passports’ expiration date extended by the number of days the parks will have been closed. As an alternative, paid-in-full Passholders may request a partial refund corresponding to the number of days their Passports would have been active during the closure.
Whether your Annual Passport is on a monthly payment plan or is paid in full, the default recovery offer will be in place without any action required. If you would prefer to receive the alternate offer, you must call Annual Passport Member Services at (714) 781-4567. If you have previously made a request for an adjustment to your Annual Passport, that is the same number to call with any questions you may have. Disneyland Resort Passholder Services will be available to take your call from 7 AM through 9 PM Pacific time. In my experience, they are usually more readily available in the earlier evening hours. Note that Passport adjustments may not go into effect until the full duration of the temporary closure is known.
Tony’s Tip: During the phased reopening of the Disneyland Resort, most of the venues at the
Downtown Disney District have already reopened for your
dining and
shopping enjoyment. During a recent visit, I was excited to learn that active Annual Passholders may request
Passholder discounts at participating locations!
Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney, Daniel. We are grateful for the chance to help answer your questions about the Disneyland Resort and other
Disney Parks experiences. Please come by again if you have any more questions.
