Andrea from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I am trying to purchase tickets for July 2023 and the calendar to reserve those dates hasn't opened yet. When can I expect it to open and do I need to reserve those dates when I purchase or can I purchase the tickets and assign a reserved date later ?

Hey there, Andrea! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad to see you've stopped by with some great questions for us.

If you are planning on visiting in July 2023, you will be able to see those dates open up 120 days in advance. While you could purchase a ticket now for your stay and then make theme park ticket reservations once the dates open up, I usually recommend waiting to do it all in one transaction. This also depends on what ticket type you are thinking of getting. If you are purchasing a single-day ticket, they are tiered tickets, and the price changes depending on the date. If you purchase in advance, you could encounter a problem reserving a date if the tiers do not match up. Seeing as you are wanting to visit during a holiday, I do recommend that you make note of when that 120-day date is to be sure you can get tickets and reservations made before that date fills up.

Your visit this upcoming summer means that you will get to experience the Disney100 Celebration that will be in full swing! There has been an announcement with a few teasers of what to expect at Disneyland Resort and Disney Parks Blog will be where you will want to tune in closer to your visit to make sure you don't miss anything!

Andrea, thanks again for stopping by. We'd love to see you back here again with any other planning questions you might have!
