I'm sorry to hear you haven't been able to purchase the Imagine Magic Key for Southern California Residents.
Magic Key sales pause and resume throughout the year. The Imagine Key was for sale just a month or two ago, but was recently paused, with only the Inspire and Believe Keys being currently available. There is usually an announcement made before Magic Keys go on sale. I recommend that you follow
Disneyland Magic Key on Instagram. This is where I usually see the announcements.
It looks like you may be hoping to visit soon. Starting in January, there is a
new ticket promotion for California residents. This 3-day park hopper lets you break up your visits from January 1, 2026, to May 21, 2026, subject to
theme park reservation availability. The great thing about this is that you can split up your visits and don't have to use the ticket within 13 days of the first day of use, like a normal park hopper ticket. If you purchase this ticket and Magic Key sales resume for the Imagine Key, you may be able to upgrade your ticket to that Magic Key. Tickets that are available for upgrades will usually have the option in the
Disneyland app.
