Hello there, Ashlee!
Welcome back to planDisney! I hope you are having a fabulous time planning your Walt Disney World Resort visit. While the real adventure is the vacation, I always say that planning the trip is half the fun.
When purchasing
Memory Maker One Day, it does indeed ask you who will be using it, but don't worry, it won't just be capturing photos of you. You're able to view and download the photos and videos captured that same day from up to 25 members of your Family & Friends list who share media with you. So even if you're traveling with a large group--you'll be covered. Since it sounds as though it will be you and your son traveling, you will have no problem capturing photos of the both of you. If you manage his
My Disney Experience account then you will already be linked, but if he has his own account you will want to make sure you are linked in the
My Family & Friends list and that your son has marked the box to allow you to see his
Disney PhotoPass photos.
If your son is a fan of Star Wars, there are some pretty incredible
special photo opportunities available throughout
Disney's Hollywood Studios. There is a Super Zoom Magic Shot near
Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run that puts several shots together to create a neat video. There is also a 360-degree, Tiny World Magic Shot near
Star Tours - The Adventures Continue. My personal favorite, however, is to wait until evening to find the Disney PhotoPass Service photographers in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge that offer a glowing lightsaber to pose with. The photos look great!
May the Force be with you as you plan the rest of your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, Ashlee. Please come see us again soon if we can help you with anything else.
Magical Wishes,
Lauren
