Hi Angela!
Welcome to planDisney. While you still have a few months before your Walt Disney World Resort arrival, now is the perfect time to think through all those planning details to help make your visit as magical as possible. If you haven't already done so, be sure to make your theme park reservations for each day of your visit using the
Disney Park Pass reservation system. Reservations have been filling up quickly over the last few months, so I suggest getting these set up as early as possible for the best park selection. Once your visit gets a little closer, I also recommend making a few
advance dining reservations to enjoy during your stay. While anyone can book dining reservations up to 60 days in advance,
Disney Resorts Collection hotel Guests can make reservations for their entire length of stay (up to 10 days), beginning 60 days from check-in, so that's a date you'll definitely want to mark on your calendar.
In addition to making your theme park and dining reservations, I'm happy to hear that you're planning to add the phenomenal cosmic power the of the
Disney Genie+ service to your tickets –– not only is a great way to experience some of your favorite attractions with a shorter wait, but you'll also receive access to exclusive Disney PhotoPass AR Lenses to use throughout your visit. My kids had a blast using these to pass the time in line during our most recent trip, so be sure to check them out! I'm sorry that you're having trouble adding Genie+ to your existing tickets, but I'm happy to share a few suggestions to help you make this happen.
First, keep in mind that Disney recently announced that
beginning June 8, 2022, Genie+ would no longer be available for advance purchase –– from now on, Guests will only have the option to add the Disney Genie+ service on the day they plan to use it. So, if you're looking to add Genie+ to the entire length of an eligible ticket, you'll want to do that between now and June 7th. Since you're not seeing the option to modify your tickets online, I suggest giving the
Existing Tickets line a call at (407) 934-7639, where a Cast Member should be able to assist you. However, since recent wait times over the phone have been
very long, I really recommend saving some time and waiting until you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort to purchase Genie+ individually each day. Not only will you be paying the same price and have the same access to
Lightning Lane selections, but you'll also have the opportunity to try it out and make sure that it works well for your family, without having to add it to every day of your ticket. You'll be able to do this beginning at midnight EST on each day of your visit by selecting "My Genie Day" from the main menu of the
My Disney Experience mobile app and following the onscreen prompts to complete your purchase.
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney, Angela. No matter when you choose to run the magic lamp, I hope the Disney Genie+ service helps to grant plenty of wishes during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
Happy Planning,
Amy
