I am trying to get printed material regarding planning a trip to Disneyland later this year.

    Hi Elizabeth!

Welcome to planDisney! It's so nice to have you hEAR. Thank you so much for sending this Disneyland Resort vacation planning question our way!

I'm a child of the '90s, and I so vividly remember the commercials for The Happiest Place on Earth and how one could 'call to request a free vacation planning packet'. It wasn't that long ago when future Guests could still request a 'Disney DVD.' Sadly the days of getting magical mail and thumbing through something to plan your upcoming Disney Vacation are few and far between. If you book your Disneyland Resort vacation through a travel agent or agency, they might have some printed guides that they could send your way. You might also get something sent ahead of your visit if you book a Disneyland Resort Hotel Vacation Package

But it's kind of a good thing because now all of the information you need can be found online, any time day or night, without having to way seven to 10 business days to receive said information! Your best resources for planning a visit to Mickey's house are going to be the Disneyland.com Help Center where you can find questions and answers to all kinds of topics; the Disney Parks Blog website and the Disney Parks social media pages that share all kinds of insights to fun happenings throughout the yEAR; but the best hidden gem of a Disney vacation planning resource out there is us, the PlanDisney Panelists! We're hEAR for any and all of your questions, Elizabeth, from the big 'where do I start' to the final "I leave in two days, help!" Disney details. We even have a planDisney Podcast and just released an episode that covers Halloween time in the parks!

I see that you already have a desired date for your Disney days, so start with this: where would you like to stay while in CA? For Disneyland Resort, you have so many choices in the area. But to help narrow it down, there are three Disneyland Resort Hotels that are owned and operated by Mickey himself, and there are dozens of 'Good Neighbor' hotels that are within the area and meet the high standards of the big cheese himself. These can be booked as room-only reservations or you can bundle a play and a stay together as a Vacation Package.

When thinking of Disneyland Theme Park Admission Tickets, you can buy those from 1 up to 5 days; you can select tickets to visit only one theme park per day or be able to go back and forth between the two, which is the Park Hopper option. During the check-out process, you'll be asked to select your Park Pass Reservations, which note which parks you plan to visit on which days.

And that's pretty much it! Other than food and transportation, the majority of your Disneyland planning will be done after you make those decisions! I hope that this helped to ease any planning fears you might have had. Send us all of your upcoming vacation planning questions as we really do love to talk all things Disneyland all the time. Be sure to follow the official planDisney Instagram account for even more tips and tricks. And We Hope To See You Again Real Soon, Elizabeth!
