Hi there, William! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy, it sounds like you're getting all your Donald Ducks in a row for your son's upcoming class trip to
Walt Disney World Resort! With so much to see and do, he's sure to have a memorable time. I'd love to help with your plans so he doesn't miss a minute of the magic!
William, I know you're looking into the
Disability Access Service (DAS) for your son. I spoke with a Cast Member and was given a few recommendations. First, make sure that your son's theme park tickets are
linked to his
My Disney Experience account. Also, be sure that you've made his
theme park reservations with the Disney Park Pass system. These are important steps to reserve the parks he's planning on visiting, and will also help as he registers for the Disability Access Service.
If his theme park tickets are linked and his theme park reservations are made, and if you still aren't able to register through the live chat, the next recommendation was to
request a live video chat through an adult's account. Be sure that your son (the one requesting the Disability Access Service) is present during the chat. Explain your situation to a Cast Member and they will help you with the next steps available to you! Of course, if you run into any issues with the above steps, you can always
call a Cast Member for more assistance.
Since your son already has a My Disney Experience account, you may want to look into downloading the
My Disney Experience app for him (if he has a mobile device). This app will allow him to check wait times for attractions, view park maps,
mobile order food, and even request return times with DAS!
I'm sending all the faith, trust, and pixie dust for your son's upcoming trip! If you have any other questions, please write to us again.
You've got a friend in me!
Michelle
