Hi Olivia,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question!
Since you’ll be staying at one of the
Great Accommodations surrounding the Walt Disney World Resort, you won’t be using your MagicBand for access around the
Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek. Instead, you’ll be using it at the Theme Parks!
If you’d like to purchase MagicBands for your vacation, you’ll either want to purchase them from
shopDisney or wait to get them on property. Since you’re not staying in one of the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels, unfortunately, you won’t be able to purchase your MagicBands through My Disney Experience. So shopDisney will be your best option if you want to have something sent to you before your trip. Right now, I'm not seeing any solid color options, but that can always change! If you’d like to wait until you’re on property, you will be very close
Disney Springs, maybe head over to
World of Disney so you have a big selection!
If you decide not to go the MagicBand route, Hakuna Matata, you can also use
Disney MagicMobile. This Service is set up through the My Disney Experience mobile app and allows you to use MagicBand features with just the tap of your phone. Through your phone’s Apple Wallet or Google Pay, you’ll be able to store your Disney MagicMobile pass so you can tap your phone to enter the Theme Parks, access Lightning Lanes, and connect to Disney PhotoPass. Even if you do get MagicBands, I highly recommend setting up this Service on your phone because it saves the day if someone in your party forgets their MagicBand at the hotel. Trust me, I’ve done it before and Disney MagicMobile swoops in like The Incredibles every time!
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you prepare for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation this spring.
