Welcome to planDisney, Laurel!
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question today. I'm so excited to hear that you're planning to celebrate your parents' 50th wedding anniversary at Walt Disney World Resort! Several years ago, my brother and I surprised our parents with a trip for our whole family to celebrate their own 50th anniversary and it will forever be my all-time favorite Disney memory. If you're anything like me, be sure to pack some extra tissues in your suitcase –– I have a feeling you're in for a vacation that's full of happy tears and magical experiences!
When it comes to making advance dining reservations for a large group, I typically recommend trying to split your party into two tables and requesting to be seated together once you arrive at the restaurant. However, since it sounds like this isn't an option that would work well for you, I suggest reaching out to the Cast Members at
Disney Meetings & Events to see if they can help you plan the perfect dinner for your special celebration. Not only are these the pros when it comes to planning corporate events, they're also experts at
creating magical experiences for everything from bridal showers and anniversary parties, to family reunions and holiday galas. Whether you'd like to host a private event in one of the four Walt Disney World theme parks or create an intimate gathering at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, they'll be able to help you find the perfect spot for your anniversary celebration.
For something a little different, you might also want to consider booking a
Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise or one of the
Magic Kingdom 50th Fireworks Dessert Parties during your visit. After a day in the parks, these events are a celebration all their own, with plenty of sweet treats and a great view of Magic Kingdom's newest nighttime spectacular, Disney Enchantment. Since
you can begin booking these events 60 days in advance on the Walt Disney World website, you're only a few days away from your reservation window opening, so be sure to mark the date on your calendar.
Thanks so much for visiting planDisney, Laurel. I hope this helped to answer your question and I'm wishing you and your family plenty of pixie dust for your upcoming celebration!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
