I am trying to plan a visit to Old Key West. I have 3 children, ages 11,9, and 3. Would the five of us be able to stay in a deluxe suite, or would we need to stay in the one bedroom villa?

Hi Heather and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

As the original Disney Vacation Club Resort, there’s always been a lot to love about Disney’s Old Key West Resort. The Resort’s pretty pastel colors, beautiful palm trees, and swaying hammocks suspended over white powdery sand are just some examples of the tropical theming which helps to transport Guests back in time to the Key West of days gone by. Suffice to say, you will know from the minute you arrive at this Resort that it is time to unwind – it’s Vacation Time!

Unfortunately, the Deluxe Studios at Disney's Old Key West Resort have a maximum sleeping occupancy of four guests, which will not accommodate your party of five, including two adults and three children. The only exception would be if at least one of your children were two years of age or younger and wished to sleep in the portable Pack 'n Play crib provided as part of the Standard Room Amenities.

However, your family could be comfortably accommodated in a 1 Bedroom Villa at Disney's Old Key West Resort. These units sleep up to five guests, and include one King Bed, one Queen-Size Sleeper Sofa and a Twin-Size Sleeper Chair. I personally find these Villas some of the most spacious and comfortable Disney Vacation Club Villas at Walt Disney World Resort. I expect your family of five would also quite enjoy them.

I hope this information is of assistance as you consider your best options for Disney Resort hotel accommodations. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to drop us a line. We would love to hEAR from you!
