Hi Heather! Take a deep breath and remember that you are planning your vacation. You should try not to stress about planning a stress free time. It can be very overwhelming at first, but here are a few suggestions to get your planning off to a great start.
First, go to
www.disneyworld.com and select Parks. You will then want to go to Theme Parks and select "Attractions". Here you will be able to select "Recommended Ages" and look at the attractions that will most appeal to your teenage son. You can view attractions found in each of the 4 Theme Parks and both Water Parks by filtering your search. This is an excellent way to help determine which Parks you will want to visit if you are unable to visit all the Parks.
Second, you want to have a talk with your son and discuss his vacation expectations. You would be surprised at how much many teens want to relax at the Resort pool, hit the arcade, and experience the unique recreational experiences that Walt Disney World Resort offers. He may have heard of a cool attraction or experience that a classmate or friend experienced and may really want to give that a try.
Most importantly, you want to be open to try attractions and experiences that most people would think are only for younger children. While my teenage daughter tries to act like she is not enjoying Dumbo The Flying Elephant or Peter Pan's Flight or Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure, she really enjoys them.
Hope this helps and Happy Planning!
