    Hello i am trying to plan a vacation for my family(myself,husband,15 year old and 12 year old ). It would be the first time at Disney for all of us. What is the best time to go and any good tips for first time Disney goers.

    Congratulations on your first Walt Disney World visit. The best time, as in less crowded least expensive hotel rates, is during the school year (when school is in session) and anytime other than the holiday seasons.Its called off-peak. I like September. The weather is hot during the days and cool at night. You usually will catch the Halloween decorations up in full force. Early November is good as well. For instance, this year November 8th will bring in the Christmas season for WDW, You get to see the beautiful decorations minus the crowds. Any time of year in Orlando, beats Ohio hands down.(LOL!) 



    I suggest you book at least a 5 day trip to do a lot of things. You won't do it all in one trip, trust me.This will give you an excuse to come back another time. Use the Disney Dining Plan to make your vacation "all inclusive." Pay for all of your meals in advance and just play and eat during your trip. Your out of pocket expenses will be your gratuities and souvenirs. Its a great way to put a ceiling on the amount of money to be spent while on vacation.  Book your trip, put your deposit down way in advance and pay on it up to 45 days prior to travel. Plan, plan and more planning to make it all happen .Keep the questions coming.
