We are trying to plan a vacation for two families, one with 3 kinds between the ages of 14 & 6, the other is just my husband and I for March 2018. What is the best way to book if we do not want to stay in the same room?

    Hi Christina,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you have a terrific family trip planned to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Given the size of the family with the three children, there are a few options. We have stayed in a standard room at Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and they both had daybeds. Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort also can sleep five with a child-sized pull-down bed in the room. If you go with either of these options, you could also book a standard room for just your husband and you.

Or, you could try a suite or villa. Disney's Art of Animation Resort has family suites that can sleep up to six guests. The decor in these suites is themed after some of our favorite Disney movies. You could also try booking a two-bedroom suite at any of the deluxe villa resorts. We had a wonderful time with my parents one year at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. Although there were six of us, we had more than enough space and we had two bathrooms!

The deluxe villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa have a washer and dryer plus, if it is a two-bedroom villa, they have two bathrooms. That washer and dryer was like gold. Though we did not cook, the full kitchen was an added bonus with a full-sized refrigerator that held all of our leftovers. We also used the freezer to freeze water bottles at night and took those water bottles in the parks with us - as the ice melted, we had ice-cold water to drink throughout the day.

Christina, you could book those two  rooms separately online, but I prefer to call!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
