Hello. I am trying to plan a vacation for myself and my children who live out of state. Does a 4 year old, who is not a Florida resident, pay the same price as adults for Park tickets?

    Hello Pamela,

Thanks for visiting us at planDisney. Planning ahead is super important here and I’m glad to be able to help figure out which tickets fit your groups needs.

This sounds like it’s going to be a great trip for you and your children. January is the perfect time to visit. The weather is perfect for this New Jersey native. Planning ahead for trips is something that is necessary, especially when you have a big group. Figuring out what each ticket costs and when you’ll use them is also a big part of planning. When it comes to guests under the age of 3 they are free according to Mickey Mouse. Guests 3 to 9 years old are considered children’s pricing. And all guests 10 years of age and older are considered adult pricing. If you plan on visiting for multiple days, you should pace yourself since you are visiting with little ones. My best recommendation as a Disney dad is take that midday break if they are under five years old. This will give you enough rest and energy to stay through the end of the night and watch Happily Ever After light up the sky over Cinderella Castle without your Mouseketeers getting antsy. Hanging out in the room or even a sit down meal with air conditioning to get off of your feet is the rest that you didn’t know you needed.

One of my favorite budgeting tools comes in the form of a bucket. This magical bucket is full of kernels and it is a snack everyone can enjoy for under five dollars. When you first arrive, find a popcorn stand and make sure you purchase a refillable popcorn bucket. These will have unlimited refills at all four parks during your stay. Great for keeping little ones busy in line and hungry bellies at bay until the next meal. Then you can bring it home and use it as a bucket for crayons or for chalk.  You’ll always have the memories tied to it, and each time you bring it out those little ones will remember the time spent at "The Most Magical Place on Earth."

I know this visit with your children is going to be full of magical memories for years to come. If you have any other questions visit us again at planDisney.com.

    Have a magical day,

    Jeremy A.
