Hi Kim and welcome to planDisney!
October is such a great time to visit Walt Disney World! My family loves attending
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and trick-or-treating all around
Magic Kingdom Park. My daughter has become such a big fan of Hocus Pocus, so she loves watching the
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular stage show during the party.
October has increasingly become a very popular time to visit Walt Disney World, so it's possible that since it's only a few months away, the room inventory is low. I did a little playing around with October dates and Resort hotels on the
Walt Disney World website and am able to find rooms at various resorts during mid-October. The reason you could be finding no availability could be for several reasons. First is simply that your date range could be completely unavailable. It could be possible that only some of the nights you are looking for are available, but not all, so it's showing as sold out completely. Another could be that if you're looking at a vacation package or a Resort hotel special offer, that particular package or promotion could be sold out. When I was looking for availability, I had to click on each individual Resort hotel to check for rooms instead of viewing an overall list that populates with all Resort hotel availability like it usually does. If your dates are flexible, try moving them a day or two before or a day or two after. I also suggest trying a different number of nights to see what you can come up with. The last troubleshooting thing I suggest is
giving a friendly Cast Member a call in the Disney Reservation Center who can help you out with finding a room for your October stay.
I do hope you are able to find the perfect Walt Disney World Resort hotel for your vacation. Please
stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
