I am trying to plan a vacation for all the kids and grandkids for the week of the 20th - 26th only coming to the park on Monday the 21st, 22nd, 23, 25. A friend said the park was closed as that is when all the cheerleading competitions are there?

    Hi Liz,

Thank you for dropping by with a great question! I am always thrilled to greet a fellow North Carolinian!

You will be excited to know that the Park Hours for those days indicate that the parks will be open. I also checked the theme park reservation availability system and there currently are park passes available for those dates. Once you have your vacation package booked, I strongly recommend that you make Disney Park Pass system reservations for everyone in your party that has valid theme park admission.

Looking at your arrival date, I do hope you book that vacation package as soon as possible. Once booked, link that vacation package in My Disney Experience. I also suggest that you make advance dining reservations. On our most recent visits, we have really appreciated having dining reservations. Last weekend in particular, Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering was a challenge with so many people in the parks trying to order.

Remember that you will also have additional crowds because of the Thanksgiving holiday and the launch of The World's Most Magical Celebration. As much as I LOVED being present for the celebratory festivities at Magic Kingdom on October 1, I was also very aware of the crowds. Luckily, I had packed my patience, so I was ready!

Liz, I trust you will get that vacation package booked so that you can make those park pass and dining reservations. Do also use the park hours to plan your park strategy during your visit. We cannot wait to welcome you for an Incredible Disney Day!

    Magic and memories,
