I am trying to plan a vacation for my family.. What would you suggest for a 2 boys (10 & 6 yrs old) and then 1 little girl who is 2.

    Hi Melissa,
I am so glad you brought your question to the Mom's panel!  If I understood correctly, this is your first visit to Walt Disney World.  There is so much to do!  For a first visit, and taking into consideration the ages of your children, I would suggest that you not try to pack too much into your days and nights.  There is a magic wherever you turn, so I recommend you take your time and drink it all in.  When my kids were this age, they were early risers so we hit the parks early and then took them back to the resort for a rest during the heat of the afternoon.  Depending on the schedule for fireworks,  we would often go back to the parks in the evening to enjoy fireworks and evening entertainment.

There are rides that your boys and your daughter will love. There are lots of fun 'non-ride' things to do in the parks too - like live musical shows (again, great for in the heat of the day), meeting the characters, and more.  Pick up a 'Times Guide' as you enter the park each day as it has all the tims and locations of the entertainment.  If your boys are 'pirates' at heart, make sure you check out 'Pirate Tutorial' while you are at the Magic Kingdom (again, check the Times Guide).   For much more on park attractions, entertainment, character dining and more, visit www.disneyworld.com.

Melisa, I hope this helps a little!  If you have any more questions, please do write me back again, I would be happy to expand on any of these ideas.  Have a wonderful family vacation!

Walt Disney World stole my heart when my parents introduced me to the magic the year it opened. I fondly remember my first 'Mickey Mouse in a Glass House' balloon! I still visit with my parents-and now with my husband and our two teens. Learn More About Lynn
