Welcome to planDisney, Lauren!
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo… like Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother, we at planDisney are here to help dreams come true for you. Lauren, one of the reasons I love vacationing at the Walt Disney World Resort is that there truly is something for everyone and I know your family of seven will love it.
Now, let’s talk about a package vacation. To start booking your Magical trip you
can call in and speak to a Cast Member at Disney Resort Hotel Reservations. However, Lauren, before you make that first phone call, I would encourage you to think about which
Disney Resort Hotel might be the best fit for your family.
Traveling with six other Mouseketeers, you’ll want to consider if you want accommodations that will allow your entire party to be together in a
larger villa or if you’d like two rooms. If you’re hoping to find something more budget friendly, I would recommend exploring
Disney’s Pop Century Resort or
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. If you’d like to explore the options that would allow your entire party to room together, you’ll want to check out the Villa accommodations like those found at
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa,
Disney's Old Key West Resort and other Disney Vacation Club properties.
Lauren, it will also be important to let the Cast Member know the ages of all the guests in your traveling party as that can impact what is available to you. For example, the
Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort resort sleep six adults, but that does NOT include an infant in a crib. Next, if proximity to a park is more important than room configuration, make sure to let the Cast Member know that as well so he or she can point you in the best direction for convenience.
Finally, I'll direct you to
this page about vacation packages. Here you can read about bundling your Disney Resort stay with your theme park tickets. I love taking advantage of this and creating the most seamless vacation possible.
I hope this helps as you are building your upcoming trip and I hope to see you here again with more questions as you continue on your planning adventure.
Wishing you a pixie-dusted stay,
Lauren
