I am trying to plan a vacation for our family of 6 (kids ages 15,11,10,10) and am having a hard time deciding on accomodations. I am considering the Cabins, POP, or possibly the Caribbean. What do you think is best?

Hi Robert, Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel! I have 5 children myself and understand that it's tough to find accommodations to fit you all.

At the Pop Century and the Caribbean Beach Resorts you'll need to rent 2 rooms. The benefit of this would be that you'd have 2 bathrooms (which is always a plus with a big family).  Pop Century is a Value resort and is friendlier on the budget.

The Fort Wilderness Cabins are really neat. They have a kitchen and barbecue grill, so you could plan on making some of your meals there (saving some cash). The cabins are a bit small (close quarters) and only have 1 bathroom. Your 10 year olds could sleep in the bunkbeds though, and I'm sure you could make it work. In fact, we are staying at FW Cabins ourselves with 4 of our kids in October. We never spend a lot of time in our room anyway, as there is WAY too much to be enjoying at Disney World. Another benefit to staying here is Fort Wilderness itself. There are SO many recreational activities to enjoy. See: HERE.

One other option would be the Family Suite at All-Star Music. See HERE. These sleep 6 guests and are an economical option for family's. It is cheaper to rent 2 separate, connecting rooms though.

Out of all of the options, I would choose the Cabins at Fort Wilderness because of the area it is located in. You can rent Sea Raycer boats, go fishing, watch movies, play tennis, go horseback riding and much more.

Hope this helps and that you have a wonderful vacation.
