Trying to plan a vacation to Disney World and a cruise. I have an 18, 16 and a 7 year old. Would like to get the best possible deal without having to go on an actual Disney cruise. In researching, everything points me to only the Disney cruise line?

    Hi, Theresa!

As the Disney Cruise Mom, my answer to your question is going to be undeniably one-sided.  I love cruises, and I adore Walt Disney World. Yet, for me and my family of six, our favorite times together are spent when we've been able to combine the best of both worlds on a Disney Cruise vacation.

There is no other cruise line in the world that caters to every member of the family and makes cruising together more fun than Disney. My children are 17, 14, 11 and 7 and have been on several cruise vacations over the past 5 years. Yet now, they are insistent that we only cruise with the Mouse -- my son even wants his high school graduation trip with his friends to be on a Disney ship!

So, my advice is to continue to do your research, but I, too, am pointing you in the Disney cruise direction also. Make sure you check out AAA or CAA for great cruise deals, and Disney travel agents located online and possibly in your neighborhood are experts on finding lower fares and shipboard credit incentives, too.

Let me know if you think of other questions for me. I'd love to help you plan! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
