    I am trying to plan our vaca for Dec 2018, and it is hard without knowing what time the parks are open until. especially Animal Kingdom. We wanted to experience it at night, since weve only been there during the day! I juts wasnt sure if it closes early!

     Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Crystal. I'm so glad you stopped by!

     You must be so excited for your upcoming vacation. Visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the Holidays is extra magical! I love planning our visits way ahead of time, so I totally understand wanting to know what the park hours will be so you can begin piecing together your itinerary. Park hours are usually released about 6-months out, so you may not know specifics about December's schedule until sometime in June. I can tell you that last December, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park was open until 8:00 PM almost every evening, with showings of Rivers of Light scheduled at least once each night. To check the hours listed, visit the Walt Disney World Resort calendar closer to your arrival date.

     You won't want to miss Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park at night! I think all the theme parks are especially beautiful in the evening, but Animal Kingdom is exceptionally unique; it really comes to life after dark! Tree of Life Awakenings is my favorite nighttime offering - it's just breathtaking. Popular attractions like Kilimanjaro Safaris and Expedition Everest become completely different experiences, so don't hesitate to visit them again! Be sure to visit Pandora - The World of Avatar in the evening too to explore the Valley of Mo'ara aglow with bioluminescent flora and fauna.
