Trying to plan a trip for 2013 for November, want to miss the American Thanksgiving as much as I can. But when does the holidays around the world normally start at Epcot? I've tried to look up past years, and it seems like just after your Thanksgiving?

    Hi Nicole!
Visiting the Walt Disney world theme parks during the holidays is a special time for guests.  With many holiday themed events and seasonal decor, there is definitely a lot to love about the Disney parks during this time.
Magic Kingdom is decorated and prepped for the holidays first, as it is the host of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  The resorts and theme parks follow suit, with decor completed by Thanksgiving, and most special events and shows beginning right around this very busy week such as Holidays Around the World.  Being able to visit the different countries represented at World Showcase, and see and hear about their holiday traditions is one of the coolest, if not educational, experiences available during the holidays.  These traditionally begin during the week of Thanksgiving and run all the way until New Years Eve, so that gives you a pretty wide window to book your trip.
Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
