We are trying to plan a trip for June 2012, this is our very first visit to Disneyworld! Our kids will be 2 and 5, both boys..and I'll just put it this way they are both 100% boys! We are torn between Contemperary or Beach Club?? Please help!

    Hi Maggie!

Due to the ages of your boys, I would recommend the Beach Club resort. I have an 11 year old son who was high-energy at a younger age. The high level balconies and inner hallways that look down onto the Concourse at the Contemporary scared me as a climbing hazard. It didn't help that I have my own issues with heights. But, I digress!

I think the Beach Club resort's pool, Stormalong Bay, is a great place for boys. You'll have the kiddie pool area with small slides or the big slide if they are thrill-seekers. Then, there's all that sand at the beach and in the pool area. Yes, part of the pool has a sandy bottom and our son when he was younger absolutely delighted in playing there!

Adventurous boys will love the boat ride to Hollywood Studios and you can work on the morning energy level with a walk to Epcot.

Absolutely take your boys on a monorail ride though. I would suggest dinner at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort followed by a ride on the monorail. The monorail was my son's favorite thing in all of WDW at the age of 2!

Best wishes for a wonderful vacation.
