I am trying to plan a trip for July 2011. I don't know the dates yet b/c my husband won't know what his block leave dates are after until he gets back from Afghanistan. Does anyone have any tips on how to plan when we don't have a for sure date?

    Hello Courtney,

First, let me thank you and your husband for your service to our country. You must be so excited for his homecoming!

My next piece of advice is to visit DisneyWorld.com/Military. Here you will find the latest offers Disney has for eligible U.S. military personnel. You can get discounts on tickets and hotel stays.

While you won't be able to make reservations yet, you can start checking out the many restaurants at Disney. You can browse the list by location, cuisine, or dining experience. And don't forget to make plans for a romantic dinner for two. Consider maybe Narcoossee's or California Grill.

Same with selecting your Disney resort. I love pouring over each resort, comparing locations and amenities.

Once you have your husband back stateside and in your arms safely, you can start planning your Disney vacation together and have all of your recommendations ready to share with him!

    Have a great trip!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
