I live in Colorado, and I try to sneak away for a January or February visit each year to trade snow boots for palm trees and enjoy those milder California temperatures. It's my favorite way to thaw out after a Colorado winter!
I've been keeping a close eye on the
availability calendar for that timeframe, and you are correct, reservations have not opened just yet. Typically, I see the following year's availability appear in late summer of the year before. Based on that pattern, I'd keep an eye out around mid to late August. Sometimes Disney planning requires a little patience before everything falls into place!
If you're planning a late January visit, be sure to keep watch on the
Disney Parks Blog for announcements about the
Lunar New Year celebration at Disney California Adventure Park. The festive entertainment, special offerings, and incredible treats are enough to make any Disney fan melt faster than Olaf on a warm summer day!
